Write a letter to your elected
Make your voice heard by sending a physical printed letter to your members of Congress in the mail. Follow these simple steps:
Take action & take note
Send emails to your reps using our action tool below. Take note of the names and types of messages that auto-populate to your three members of Congress (ONE Representative and TWO Senators).
If you see a thank you message, print this thank you letter.
If you see a demand message, print this demand letter.
2. write their wrongs
Using our interactive Not My Tax Dollars map, look up how much of your city/state’s federal tax dollars are going to weapons to Israel. Pick what you want your tax dollars to fund instead, and fill in the blanks.
The next space is yours. A few prompts you can consider:
What do you want your tax dollars to fund instead of genocide and war?
Tell your story. How has this genocide, war, and state violence funded by your tax dollars personally impacted you? How does it make you feel?
What would it be like to wake up one day in a community where your tax dollars fund care instead of killing?
Sign your name at the bottom of the letter.
3. Turn up the heat on social media
The goal is to make our demands unavoidable. Here’s how to make your letters stoke the fire:
Take a photo to post to social media with #NotMyTaxDollars (make sure to crop out or exclude any personal information). Get creative!
Send your letters in the mail. Look up their mailing address here.
Take just 30 seconds to fill out this form so we can count your letters and capture how much collective pressure we’re building.
